Wollf has the Cubs tonight and tomorrow night....heck all through Saturday.
I thoroughly enjoyed their "little" years, but I must tell you, that with regards to Cubs.....I am having the time of my Life. For some unknown and deeply mysterious reasons, my Cubs actually enjoy hanging with their Sire.
Maybe it's because I talk to them as "equals", if not "peers". Never talk down to your Cubs.....oh, understand and treat them as the children that they are, but talk to them as "equals".
Elders' momma has accused him of "taking advantage" of his Sire. His retort made it clear that he understands Wollf....."If Dad thinks I'm taking advantage, he tells me to take a hike......his hikes aren't pleasant.....I don't take advantage..."
He's the logical one.
Tonight, Lil' Wolfie and I went to his Grade School for "Reading Night". Fun stuff. They had a Book Faire, Lil' picked out a "scary" book incorporating Archaeology for himself, a simplified book explaining Passover for his Elder sibling and assisted me in getting a really cute book....actually two....for three to four year olds about a stuffed Bear and his best friend, Dog.
I have a grand-Cub and a little buddy that will truly enjoy it.
So, we're back to the Lair, fed and happy, the Cubs have settled into their Thursday routine of getting their homework done, we'll probably watch a movie or go for a walk, and then taps.....life is good when I have the Cubs.....
Real good.

To quote my mother (as I am wont)
When I was pregnant with you, I was so delighted when I got you to play kick with me. I was sure it couldn't get better than this.
When I gave birth, I was so delighted-- you were an adorable little bundle, loving and totally dependent. I was sure it couldn't get better than this.
When you started babbling, and reaching for shiny objects-- it was wonderful; we could PLAY! I was sure it couldn't get better than this.
When you started to walk and talk in English, I got to teach you; I was sure it couldn't get better than this.
When you got older, and started gaining your own views- you could have a conversation with me, and even make me think. I was sure it couldn't get better than this.
When you graduated and started your own life, I hurt-- my baby was leaving. But you were fulfilling all the amazing promise that I'd seen for nearly two decades, and I was sure it couldn't get better than this.
And then my baby gave me her baby... and it started all over again.
I am greatly excited to start this journy myself, with Elfie.
Hearing about your kids just makes it more desirable.
Wonderful post, Wollf!
Equally wonderful comment, Foxfier!
Foxfire - your Mother was quite prolific. No other words could explain the joy of motherhood to being a Grandmother. Beautiful words....
