Happy, Happy Birfday!!!!

I am relieved of another one of my "internal" concerns......

IT'S MY MOMMA'S BIRFDAY!!!!!!

Born 29 Apr 1922, in Damariscotta Maine, to Miss Winifred, (yes that's a friggin' name....went by Winnie....though in my case Grandma), and Clarence PinkHam...my Grandfather that I've spoken of many times.

My Momma....no, I don't say "she" to this day, after being clobbered a few times with the admonishing, "SHE.....is the Cats mother....respect your Momma with her name or her Title".....damm, it hurt when I was "disrespectful.....

"Boxed Ears"?.....My Sire, the Sar'Major tended more to "Bagged and Wrapped"....ouch.

Oh....where was I?....My Momma is 86 years young today. She gave birth to five children....Gloria, Carla, Michael, (G-d rest his Soul), Wollf and my little teeny Baby Bro' Scotty.

She went to College when she was Sixteen years old. Degreed in "Administration", and a Teacher when she was about Nineteen...got a call from the War Department because of her high scores on "any number of tests" *as Momma says*, and went to work at the Pentagon, doing Logistical analysis of Troop Deployment.

Start adding the numbers......"Troop Deployment"......Classified Top Sekrit, Super Squirrel......It's 1941, Folkes.then she made the fateful mistake........

09 September 1941, she made the biggest "mistake" of her Life. She went to a Street Dance in Washington D.C. The Sar'Major, fresh back, and I mean "FRESH" back from his stint, at that time a Corporal of Marines, from his stint with the Ist of the Fourth Division as a China Marine.....went to the Party also.

Now we switch to Mommas' perspective......"I was dancing with a 'really good looking Sailor', and this tall slim Marine just walked up, tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Shove off Son. You're dancing with my Wife.....well, shortly, that is..."

For some reason....heh....he "shoved off"......

My Momma....in an obvious moment of weakness, and possible mental lapse, danced with the arrogant, self assured s.o.b..........

She asked him what he meant by what he had said, and he replied, while looking in her eyes, "Miss, I am going to Marry you....keep dancing."

Those two have been "dancing" ever since.

They met on 09 September, and were married on 27 December of the same year. That's 1941.....Pearl Harbor, got married, he shipped out to the nastiest shi-ite that any Marine has ever had to deal with, Momma at home, baby on the way....(I guess it was a productive Honeymoon)....... Guadalcanal, Iwo, Peleliu.....and on....

Sixty Seven Years......I hope that it's Ninety.

G-d Bless you, Momma. I Love you. And....I know you don't wanna hear it, 'cuz I'm that softie OCS mistake you made, but I Love you too, Dad.

Happy friggin' Birfday, Momma...keep on keeping the Sar'Major in line, heh, or as well as anyone can........

That is all.

Their meeting sounds a little my my folk's, minus the Huge Bloody War coming like a freight train.
