From a Long, Long time ago......

Some wisdom....not necessarily good, but there you go.....

This is the "users guide" that you were each given before being tossed unceremoniously into the Stork's sack.....to be delivered into this World....

Words have been edited....sometimes I do that....because it should be a bit clearer for the time being. Because Rule #10 is set in stone......

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period.Take care of it. It is a tool....your most important one, because if you abuse it or neglect it.....you're done...no need to read any further.

2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life." Do your homework.......you won't be graded until the end of your "term".

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."

4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson. If you don't learn it......things tend to get ugly.....

5. Learning lessons does not end. There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons. If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned. That's how we move forward on our Path.

6. "There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here." Buckaroo Banzai said....yeah, I know, "Who's BB?"...look it up, it's silly, but he said...."No matter where you go.......There you are."....it makes sense, trust me.

7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself. It's called "projection"....and it's what makes us who we are....learn it, and Life as a classroom becomes much more fun......

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours. Do something or don't...I don't care....and I will very rarely toss you some spare change just because you've gone to the trouble of writing "HOMELESS...HUNGRY" on a cardboard sign.

9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life's questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust. And it's frigging hard to do....Introspection, as in Honestly....warts and hairballs and all. Know thyself, Accept your strengths and weaknesses, and you'll pass the final test. Always strive to be "Better".....

10. You will forget all this. Every frigging word.....because the Baby will cry, your Boss will yell, your Spouse will need your attention........heh

Too bad......it's a good way to live.....
