All I have to say.......

Not feeling like dwelling on the "current" troubles facing Israel and Palestine. Besides, it will Never be over.

"it will never be over"

Sigh. The true definition of the word never is... "up 'til now."

I believe in G-d. The Bible teaches us that good shall always overcome evil.

That picture clearly shows an image of good and an image of evil. Do you believe that image to reflect the true nature of palestinians and Israelis?

If so, then it would stand to reason that it will one day be over, that one day the evil will be destroyed.

I believe there is no question that it will happen, the only question is... when it will happen.

The defeat of such evil will be in the time of G-d's choosing, and G-d's time is measured somewhat differently than our time.

I know there are biblical scholars who have calculated the time of the Hebrew Nation's slavery in Egypt, I have not. But I know that G-d allowed that evil to be inflicted upon His chosen people for "generations" before sending Moses to free them.

How long will the evil of the palestinian people be inflicted upon Israel? I don't know. It has been almost a hundred years already.

G-d has promised He will do what He promised He will do. And I believe in G-d and I believe G-d will keep His promises. All of them. In the time of His chosing. When it pleases Him to do so. And not one moment sooner.

He has not chosen to so... yet.

I believe He will do so when He is ready to do so.

You told me more than once you were a man of Faith who believed in G-d. Have you changed that much in so short a time?

I don't think Wollf is saying what you're reading, if you undestand me?

LindaSoG - Your point(s) are well taken. However, the point of the cartoon was one "hiding behind children" and the other "protecting children." I also believe in God and his Word. However, what I'm reading into the comment is that "in our lifetime" it will never end. It will most likely be generations before God ends this senseless fighting. Senseless in the fact that innocent people are dieing every day. THAT is not God's Will.

OK - so that's my 2 cents worth. Happy New Year and God Bless You!

Ladies, I appreciate your efforts, but this is Wollf's house, he can speak for himself. If he meant something other than what he said, he can say so himself.

DW, yes, your way of explaining the "point" of the cartoon is true, but you must see that it is no more true than my way of explaining it, unless you would disagree with my description of the palestinian using the child for a shield as he shoots his gun as being evil and Israeli protecting the child with his gun as being good.

That said, I wasn't trying to read anything into Wollf's comment, I merely read what he said, I saw the word "never" and reacted to that. I saw nothing at all about "in our lifetime."

Happy New Year to you too.

I believe Wollf was making a point about human nature, not in a theological sense-- which is what I meant by what you're reading isn't what he wrote; I'm at the computer more than he is, so I'm trying to clear up what looks like a misunderstanding.

As best I can tell, it's something like this:
Wollf wrote: These guys are nasty cowards that have been attacking Jews for ages and ages, and Israel keeps trying to do the right thing. This situation isn't going to be fixed by whatever pansy agreement they manage to force down Israel's throat-- the Palestnians will just keep on doing what they're doing, and have been doing.

Linda read: Even G-d can't save Israel.

All things physical will end-- even most atheist believe this; we still use phrases like "unending battle."

LindaSoG - you are correct. It is his house and he can speak for himself. That being said...............

The end.....

Gah! Foxfier! I read "it will never end." That's what Wollf wrote, and that's what I read.

If what he wrote was not what he meant and what he meant was what you wrote, then I withdraw everything I wrote, which was only based on what he wrote and not based on what he meant, which was what you wrote and not what he wrote.

So, I apologize for what I wrote, okay?

To quote DammitWoman.. The end...

"It will never end" is a discouraged comment based on the history of this conflict.

That's how I took it - how many Peace Summits have there been? How many concessions made and then rejected? How many Presidents have thrown themselves at the wall? And failed.

And now we have a new one, that everyone is all hopey-changey about, as if he will magically solve this ages old problem.

He may try. So far, it looks like he will try to help the Palestinians, not the Israelis, and if so, things will not go well for the world.

I have to agree. I t will never be over.

Or - I could say, it could end tomorrow - IF the Palestinians would lay down their arms and cease the attacks, I think they could find a peace that lasts hundreds of thousands of years, with respect and prosperity to gain.

They won't.
