Absolutely true.....and adorable....and not at all tame. He's a Russian Hamster, and Dragn named him Vladimir. Kinda fits, as he has the temperament of one "Vlad the Impaler"......Bites like Beast.
I know, he's soooo cute, and little and......He drew blood on Dragn, and then of course I got mauled twice....I don't learn anything the first time.....Look at the little Beasties' skull and those oversized rodent fangs......
So, what to do with a pet that isn't a pet? And of course my imagination that he'll just get worse.....I mean, imagine him with modern weaponry and that bad attitude.....
Well, what actually happened after the second bite, was that I had an excuse to go to Home Depot for the appropriate Eeevil Hamster Handling Gloves.....yes the have a section for those back in the corner of the Tool Corral....
I then "tamed" him, let him bite the living bejeebus out of my one well protected hand while stroking him "carefully" with my other.
Worked out fairly well. He hasn't bitten "us" since.
But that's only because we gave him to the She-Cub Daughter as a present. Maybe he'll bite her boyfriend.....Bwa ha hah ha.....sometimes my evil shows....
Oh, and some bad news.....Bob died during the night.There he was, just floating at the top of his fish tank.......Beta testing complete. Dragn gave him the customary Burial at Sea.....
Now the Menagerie is down to Uber Doggen, Ransom Kitteh, The Four Parakeets--though one might be "with egg", and T-Rex the Dino Lizard.....
Maybe we need a weasel....

If you want fish, guppies breed like rabbits, come in a wide range of colors and are tiny. Get the base colors of guppies you want, one of each, and a sucker fish-- they'll fill whatever tank you offer.
Or get a water-trough for Uber and put in a few feeder gold fish.
