.....well, no Post this morning.......

.....Really busy at work, ADD comes in handy with what I do......But...

Been a bit troubled.....as any and all three of my Faithful know, the Lair is a bit of a Menagerie now......

In a former life....i.e., still married to the XP, Animal Friends, Strike That, Family members, were all but Verboten.........

Had a Kitteh, still lives at My/Our house....long Legal story on that slash term, but anything else, espescially Doggehs, were verboten, and or third class Citizens......

Now, on the Happier side of Life, Doggehs, and Kittehs are equal Members of the Family....oh Yuck, you say, Yes, I do awaken at times to Uber Doggens or Ransom or the new Kitteh asleep on our bed......

Uber Always sleeps with Lil'Wolfie....in fact, the She-Cub, Anastasia, slept over the other night, with a Very warm comforter of the canine sort.....heh, said she was Lourved it.....

Oh....where was I? Oh yeah, the little one, Tiberius, has drawn the ire of a neighbor....One neighbor.....he has a tendency, espescially when playing with Uber the Labrador, to "Bark".....oh a big surprise to whom?

Jerk Off neighbor, is whom.......

I asked my other neighbors if they were bothered...answer from three? ...."Um...nope."

So, I'm wondering how to respond to this dwarf's threats about Tiberius........Nope, no possibility of physical threats to the guy, just, I'm wondering, what sort of annoyance he can make with the local Magistrate.......

Aaagh, the "frustration" that Maturity and Logical thinking brings......old days, I'd just kick his sorry little a$$, and send him on his way.....

Dammit......

Dragn went down to the Magistrate and made sure the four legged members of the Family were "licensed" today, warding off the threat of jail time for the beasties......

And that should make me feel better.......but my old 0203, that's Field Intelligence rating says...."Prep More, worry less"........

Gotta make some calls........

By the by.....Tiberius now has a bark control collar.....I hate it, He hates it.....but hairball neighbor? Well, maybe we'll never know.

Any ideas?

Yes, kinder than a bark collar - BARKER BREAKER
http://www.amtekpet.com/

True Story - the neighbors behind us had two boxers. The neighbors were never home so the digs were bored out of their gourd and they would BARK, nonstop, all day. Chines water Torture kind of thing, Just when you thought maybe they would stop - >>>bark<<< ......pause....... >>>bark<<<

Short of shooting the dog - or the neighbor - yes I know that would be frowned upon - I saw this in a catalog and ordered it - figured I had nothing to lose.

You set it up on the fence aimed in the general direction of the dogs in question. When they bark, it emits a sound. They hear it, and they stop to listen.

So I ordered it, and it came, and I put the batteries in, and I set it up in a bird house/feeder, the kind with a roof, to protect it from the rain.

And, a couple of weeks later, I told my husband, you know what? I think it must be working, because they quit barking. And I hadn't even noticed. As long as I kept good batteries in there, it worked.

I highly recommend it. True story. Peace in the neighborhood, and quiet - for about forty bucks. And no shocks.

Wollf,
Sorry to learn of your "suburban jungle" difficulties. It does not sound as if it has degenerated into gunfire YET. Hope it works out for all concerned. Barking dog issues rank right up there with "domestic disputes" on the pain in the a** meters of the local constabulary. Some of us were never intended to live cheek by jowl with fellow homo sapiens.

i thought i'd start out with the fire-ball poop goodie bag..... may not stop Tiberius from barking, but it sure would be funny!

give bark collar to neighbour.
advise them their "speaking" is annoying.

but, having had little poodles with loud vocalizations... we used a spray bottle. each time they'd overdo the barking, we'd spray them. we had alittle water bottle altho i think we should have had a high super soaker (looks better then a little bottle, and soooo much fun to use)
anyways, pups eventually learned that barkign was ok, but just not excessivley barking.
I wish that your neighbour would to keep in mind.... your dog, is a watchdog. they don't guard, they "alert" you to the presense of others on the property by barking.... its just that said "barking" also makes it way into play time and such cus it is second nature to them....
