Spec Ops.......

It's about damm time.....but then I'm a strong believer in the power of small group action.....espescially against guerillas.....

The Pentagon is sending 1,000 more special operations forces and support staff into Afghanistan to bolster a larger conventional troop buildup, and is revamping the way Army Green Berets and other commandos work to rid villages of the Taliban.

Reeder heads the new Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command. It is a mix of the more open Green Berets and Marine commandos, and the super-secret Delta Force and Navy SEALs who conduct manhunts.

The covert side works in task forces that are only identified by a secret three-digit number. They are aided by Army Rangers and a Joint Interagency Task Force made up of the CIA, National Security Agency, FBI and other intelligence units.

McChrystal is a former commander of Joint Special Operations Command, the home of Delta Force. He led the hunt in Iraq that killed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, one of Al Qaeda's leading terrorists in the Middle East, in 2006.

Those who worked with him talk of a tenacious warrior who worked to link his direct-action fighters with the intelligence operatives who provided crucial information on terrorist locations. McChrystal allowed Delta operatives at the troop level (akin to a conventional platoon) to call in Predator spy drones during a mission.

"We need a Predator on that house," is the way the former operative in Iraq described Delta's freer rein.

The increase in special operations forces is an attempt to rebalance commando presence there, after the demands of the Iraq War stripped some of its manpower in Afghanistan. The influx will bring the total special operations forces in Afghanistan to about 5,000, a spokesman at special operations command confirmed to FOXNews.com.

Usama bin Laden is believed to be hiding across the border in Pakistan, where U.S. ground troops are forbidden. But intelligence sources say if bin Laden is located, American commandos may be dispatched to kill or capture him.....

And given that SOG rules of engagement are, let's say....er, "foggy" sometimes, I'm betting on the "Killed" part. Quietly, no need for martyrdom for the bastid.....

An Early Wedding Present.........

......From one of Dragn's Teacher friends.......

Absolutely true.....and adorable....and not at all tame. He's a Russian Hamster, and Dragn named him Vladimir. Kinda fits, as he has the temperament of one "Vlad the Impaler"......Bites like Beast.

I know, he's soooo cute, and little and......He drew blood on Dragn, and then of course I got mauled twice....I don't learn anything the first time.....Look at the little Beasties' skull and those oversized rodent fangs......

So, what to do with a pet that isn't a pet? And of course my imagination that he'll just get worse.....I mean, imagine him with modern weaponry and that bad attitude.....

Well, what actually happened after the second bite, was that I had an excuse to go to Home Depot for the appropriate Eeevil Hamster Handling Gloves.....yes the have a section for those back in the corner of the Tool Corral....

I then "tamed" him, let him bite the living bejeebus out of my one well protected hand while stroking him "carefully" with my other.

Worked out fairly well. He hasn't bitten "us" since.

But that's only because we gave him to the She-Cub Daughter as a present. Maybe he'll bite her boyfriend.....Bwa ha hah ha.....sometimes my evil shows....

Oh, and some bad news.....Bob died during the night. There he was, just floating at the top of his fish tank.......Beta testing complete. Dragn gave him the customary Burial at Sea.....

Now the Menagerie is down to Uber Doggen, Ransom Kitteh, The Four Parakeets--though one might be "with egg", and T-Rex the Dino Lizard.....

Maybe we need a weasel....

Happy Sunday, and She-Cub? Don't worry, I'll get Boyfriend a box of Band aids...

PS: Who the hck thnks a Hamster is a wedding present? Just wondering....

Got this via e-mail .......

Via E-mail from my ol' Nciswit Friend.......

FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!!!!

I found a Somali cruise package that departs from Sawakin (in the Sudan) and docks at Bagamoya (in Tanzania).

What I found enticing is that the cruise company is encouraging people to bring their 'High powered weapons' along on the cruise.

If you don't have weapons you can rent them right there on the boat.

They claim to have a master gunsmith on board and will have reloading parties every afternoon.

The cruise lasts from 4-8 days and nights and costs a maximum of $1,200 per person double occupancy.

All the boat does is sail up and down the coast of Somalia waiting to get hijacked by pirates.

Here are some of the costs and claims associated with the package:

M-16 full auto rental $ 25.00/day. 100 rounds of 5.56 armor piercing ammo just $45.95

Ak-47 rifle @ No charge. 100 rounds of 7.62 com block ball ammo just $34.95

Barrett M-107 .50 cal sniper riffle rental 55.00/day. 50 cal armor piercing ammo just $11.95/per round

Crew members can double as spotters for 30.00 per hour (spotting scope included).

They even offer RPG's at $75.00/day and $200.00 dollars for 3 standard loads

MOUNTED MINIGUN AVAILABLE @ $450.00 per 30 seconds of sustained fire

Everyone gets use of free complimentary night vision equipment and coffee and snacks on the top deck from 7pm-6am.

Meals are not included but seem reasonable.
Most cruises offer a mini-bar... these gung ho entrepreneurs offer:

"We guarantee that you will experience at least two hijacking attempts by pirates or we will refund back half your money including gun rental charges and any unused ammo (mini gun charges not included). How can we guarantee you will experience a hijacking We operate at 5 knots within 12 miles of the coast of Somalia.

If an attempted Hijacking does not occur we will turn the boat around and cruise by at 4 knots. We will repeat this for up to 8 days making three passes a day along the entire length of Somalia.

At night the boat is fully lit and bottle rockets are shot off at intervals and loud disco music beamed shore side to attract attention. Cabin space is limited so respond quickly.

Reserve your package before May 29 and get 100 rounds of free tracer ammo in the caliber of your choice."

Heh, as for ol'Wollf? Well you know where I stand on this issue......and I don't even have to rent the Barret.......

WT F'ing F?????

Game company glorifies jihadists and makes a game where you get to kill American soldiers as you escape Gitmo.

The company who makes it claims its getting hate-mail because of the game, especially from Americans. That's a "No Shi-ite, Sherlock, comment if I ever heard one.......

By hate-mail Wollf assumes that a game about terrorists escaping from prison , while killing American guards, though Zarrar A-Holesays it's only Mercenaries that are killed in the game, might not exactly be welcome when we are at war with those terrorists.

By the by.....Mercs at Gitmo? How effing enlightening.

Oh yes, the game company is based in some Middle Eastern country right?

Nopey dopey, it's in Scotland.

But the CEO of the company is Zarrar Chishti. Nice Scottish name.......*snark*.

He thinks it will sell well in the Middle East. I wonder where the profits of the game are going?

(In their next game they plan to put the gamer in the role of an SS guard in Aushwitz putting down a rebellion...)

Read some more about this Atrocity
HERE

I'm effing disgusted.
Somebodies out there really need an A$$ whipping....

Clearing the Pictures......

Sniping.....You are doing it Wrong.......

This is what happens when you live in a small town....actually looks a lot like our Police Blotter here in Newbury Park........

Kitteh has not been pleased with Uber Doggen as of late.......

And I think it's because of Uber's sense of humor. If he's not sliming the poor thing with Doggie Snool, he's telling him awful stories.....

So There.
Wollf......oh, notice the new Countdown Widget in the side bar?
Heh.
