I have received, via Company e-mail from a truly well meaning employee....and this thing was sent to all 200 or so Folkes on our Global network, an advisory for how to deal with the Flu, avoid getting it, and the associated stress of worrying that you're going to get it........
Sorry, Folkes, but I'm not joining in on this MSM created Frenzy......you see, it's the Flu. Just happens to be a different strain than we've seen before.
The hoopla stated when "somebody" reported 70 deaths in Mexico, then it escalated to 150 Swine Flu related deaths in Mexico City alone......Hory Clap, that's enough to worry anybody down here in SoCal........
Over a hundred....and counting.....schools across the U.S. have been closed according to FOX NEWS . Hory Double Clap!!!
But then, remember that 150 deaths in Mexico City number?....."The World Health Organization counted at least 57 deaths in Mexico, although it wasn't yet clear if this larger number was due to swine flu."
Hmmm, dropped quite a bit, didn't it.....and I've read as low as 12 CONFIRMED deaths attributable to this particular Flu.
We've been issued Traveler's advisories against nonessential visits to Mexico. Because of the Flu.....hmm, check the chart that I brazenly stole from "somewhere".....
Although, I would personally add "Horrible Death" to the first column, unless you don't consider being kidnapped, robbed, beheaded and thrown in a ditch by a Cartel Bandido "Horrible"......
And then there's Egypt.......killing 400,000 pigs, a mainstay of their Coptic Christian People.....riots and such will probably kill more People than the Swine flu, which YOU DON'T CATCH FROM PIGS, would ever do....
But just to be safe.........
Bottom lone, Folkes....It's the Flu. Here's some real live bonafide statistics on the "Regular" Flu:
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that 35 to 50 million Americans come down with the flu during each flu season. The CDC estimates that in the US more than 100,000 people are hospitalized and more than 20,000 people die from the flu and its complications every year.
That's the regular, non Mexican, non Swine, non HV1-whatever Flu. We have as of today.....exactly ONE confirmed death attributable to this strain in the whole United States.......
So....Wollf's questionable wisdom for all my Friends and Folkes out there in Web land?
Like it says in the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Universe....."Don't Panic." As your Momma always told you........"Wash your Hands". If you're sick stay home.
