From the U.K. Daily Telegraph...........

.........Gotta Love this study.......

HAVING sex daily - especially with a younger woman - is the perfect recipe for keeping men fit and healthy, a study has revealed.

While the average life expectancy of a man is 77, the last seven years are, for the majority of men, marked by serious illness or ailments.

But according to experts, sex rates highest among the simple and often bizarre ways to keep men healthy - including cutting down on pain killers, eating five apples a day, brushing teeth with your wrong hand and carrying wallets in the breast pocket.

Germany's Max Plank Institute - which conducted a study into deaths in Denmark between 1990 and 2005 - found a younger bride can cut the risk of premature death risk by 20 per cent.

It showed men who were with women about 15 to 17 years their junior - who look after the children and can put food on the table - help extend their lives.

The study concluded the higher life expectancy was either caused by younger women caring for men better or natural selection.

Let's see.....Younger woman? CHECK
Can cook?.....CHECK
Brush teeth leftie?......CHECK
Little to no pain killers?....CHECK

CO2 and the Nazis.......

Al Gore today compared the battle against climate change with the struggle against the Nazis.

He said that the world lacked the political will to act and invoked the spirit of Winston Churchill by encouraging leaders to unite their nations to fight climate change.

Al said that it was difficult to persuade the public that the threat from climate change was as urgent as the threat from Nazi Germany......WTF???

“The level of awareness and concern among populations has not crossed the threshold where political leaders feel that they must change.

“The only way politicians will act is if awareness raises to a level to make them feel that it’s a necessity.”......or to see that they can join this pocket filling racket with him........

He also accused politicians around the world of exploiting ignorance about the dangers of global warming to avoid difficult decisions........No, Al, YOU are exploiting ignorance....and filling your pockets from it.

Jerkwad......Global Warmening equals NAZIS?

I revise that....A$$hole.

Sunday.....Fun Day......

And we had fun......took a little trip down the coast to the Santa Monica Pier.....neither Dragn, nor her two dragnlings had ever been there...in FACT, none of them have ever even seen "1941", the movie.......sheesh, how backward, I s'pose I must find and rent it for them.....

We had a good time, the boyz, only two of them this time, rode the Farris wheel and roller coaster, while we did the Parental Unit picture taking thing........

Ate a late lunch at Bubba Gump's....we shared a Coconut Shrimp while the boyz devoured their own.......

Happy time.....until......I noticed the Crosses....labeled Arlington West.....and put up by Veterans Against the War......the numbers of American Service men and women killed, along with an inflated number of Iraqi casualties.....this thing does not Honor our Men and Women, it demeans their Service....

It Pi$$ed me off. I sent Dragn and the boyz off in another direction and went and had some softly spoken....yes, I can do that....and very harsh words for the piece of shi-ite, pi$$ on our Soldiers, human debris behind the table.....

He said, "Well, everyone is entitled to his own opinion....", and trailed off.

I responded quite simply, "Yes, you moron....Because of them...." *Ba$tard.

Oh......'scuse me, that's not what I'm posting about tonite.....

It's Wedding stuff, Wollf and Dragn's Wedding, 24/7....not as interesting as drug death rock star pedophile deaths, or North Korea rattling plastic sabers at a super power, or even this Global Warmening that is freezing us out of house and home.....BUT....I have to write about it for my Grand Cubs....they have to know what a nut wad they came from.....

First off....our Guest Book from the Wedding...we'll still allow signatures for another week or so before my Friend Kenny does the shellacking honors.....I actually Like it, it's a reminder of a Great time, and adds color to the eat in kitchen.....

Then, just a glimpse at some of the gifts we received....not the usual, but Loved and appreciated because these People Know us.....we're fairly successful, already have the pots and pans, china sort of stuff, and we're.....er, um, well....a different sort of couple.

A Knife, painted with you know who and resting on deer antler.........

Then, Every Wedding gets a commemorative knife to cut the cake with the Bride and Groom's names and the date on it......

Kenny knows us, and thus, we got a real "Bowie" knife and stand....it sets proudly on our mantel, and Dragn only shook her head a "little" bit.....it is a Beauty.

And though I didn't ask for it, My Friend who won't admit it....it's a Guy thing....had a bust mad of yours truly....it's above our media center in the living room.....the eye actually glow at night when the light hits them....scares the heck out of the Cubs and Dragnlings when they get up in the night......heh

So, there you you have it......my ramblings for this evening.....G-d Bless...
Oh, did I tell you I Love my Lady? Oh, maybe so........

Independence Day....4 Jly 1776

Reprinted from Delanceyplace.com.....a wonderful source of historical facts and observations.........a primer on the early days of our "first" Revolution.....

America formally declares its independence from England. The long-standing British occupation had turned into war, and Americans had already fought the British well at Bunker Hill, Dorchester Heights, and Fort Ticonderoga, and in July of 1776, were days away from a demoralizing loss at the Battle of Brooklyn. But America had not yet formally declared its independence:

"In Philadelphia, the same day as the British landing on Staten Island, July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress, in a momentous decision, voted to 'dissolve the connection' with Great Britain. The news reached New York four days later, on July 6th, and at once spontaneous celebrations broke out. ... On Tuesday, July 9th, at six in the evening, on (Washington's) orders, the several brigades in the city were marched onto the Commons and other parade grounds to hear the Declaration read aloud.

"The formal readings concluded, a great mob of cheering, shouting soldiers and townspeople stormed down Broadway to Bowling Green, where, with ropes and bars, they pulled down the gilded lead statue of George III on his colossal horse. In their fury the crowd hacked off the sovereign's head, severed the nose, clipped the laurels that wreathed his head, and mounted what remained of the head on a spike outside the tavern."

David McCullough, 1776, Simon & Schuster, 2005, pp. 135-137.

"Congress adopted independence on July 2, 1776. It issued the Declaration on the fourth. ... It was only after it was on parchment and brought back to Congress on August 2 that they formally signed the document. ... Congress didn't actually circulate a copy of the document with signatures until January 1777. Why? Well, this was a confession of treason. You were putting your head in the noose. And the war was going very, very poorly in 1776. Only after Trenton and Princeton made it possible (in December) to believe that Americans might win this war did they circulate the document with their signatures."

Pauline Maier, from Brian Lamb's Booknotes, Penguin, 2001, p. 13.

There, now you know....now go start up the BBQ, have a beer or glass of wine, and enjoy the day and the Freedom that w sometimes don't deserve.......

It's been a Busy few weeks, and it looks like it's finally settling down...only two boyz, Dragn's youngest are in the house for the next couple days.....

Imagine the quiet of only TWO teenage boyz.....well, compared to the usual Five plus the hangers on.....AH Sweet Bliss!

See you tomorrow.....

And then an "Ain't this Cute?"........

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY? (written by kids)

You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.
-- Alan, age 10

No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck with...
-- Kristen, age 10

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?
Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
-- Camille, age 10

HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?
You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.
-- Derrick, age 8

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?
Both don't want any more kids. -- Lori, age 8

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?
Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough...
-- Lynnette, age 8 ( isn't she a treasure? )

On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.
-- Martin, age 10 ( isn't he ready for the world of dating ?)

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?
I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.
-- Craig, age 9

WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?
When they're rich.
-- Pam, age 7

The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with that.
-- Curt, age 7

The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them... It's the right thing to do.
-- Howard, age 8

IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED ?
It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.
-- Anita, age 9 ( bless you child )

HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED? There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there?
-- Kelvin, age 8 ( I like this kid )

And the Number 1 Favorite is ....

HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?
Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck.
-- Ricky, age 10 ( He'll be married forever )

*I don't write 'em, I just Posts 'em*

So....the Wedding...how'd it go?

Pretty typical for a Backyard Wedding......Dragn and Wollf style....

We had a Guest Book, well actually, we designated our dining room table as the sign in sheet. Had multi color permanent markers, and just had People go for it.

Here's how it looked as Folkes were arriving. It actually turned out quite nice, completely filled in, and colorful as all get out.

A good Friend is a professional painter and has volunteered to do an epoxy coat on top to preserve our silliness for posterity.....

There is a little bit of redneck in us, as you can see by the beer and soda cooler in the background....my little red Jeep was perfect...insert kegs and cans, cover in ice a foot deep, and it stayed cold all day......

And a picture of the whole Famm Dammily up on the deck getting all married and stuff........except for three seem to be hiding behind other People.....dammit.

We ate, and drank, and visited and danced and Wollf even sang a song to his Beloved....made a few Folkes cry......more than likely from the way I butchered a perfectly wonderful song.......

Then we ate some more, drank some more, and visited some more.....my Best Friend from the age of Four drove up for the ceremony, Her Mom and Dad and Brother from Michigan, and a lot of Friends from all over.

My Favorite thing.......
On to other things......
A Contented Wollf.....
